The new Divisional Police Officer (DPO), posted to Agbarho police station a few days ago in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, has been reportedly killed.
A source said, “Immediately, the new DPO contacted his Orerokpo counterpart and they mobilised and went to the area and unknown to them, the kidnappers ambushed them and fired at them.
“The new Agbarho DPO was killed, his Orerokpo counterpart was seriously wounded and rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
“The Agbarho DPO just resumed duty two days ago and as we talk, his wife is still in the hotel where he was called from.
The wife is not even aware as we talk now that his husband has been killed by kidnappers."..
