Okupe, who said that those criticising President Tinubu for his trip to the UK are misinformed, defended the President, saying he travelled to the UK to avoid political interference in his cabinet reshuffling.
He further explained that this decision was aimed at avoiding unnecessary political distractions and giving the President space to contemplate potential changes in his cabinet.
“At the same time, it is to carefully avoid undue interference from political associates, in his thought process to rejig his cabinet.
"Being in Nigeria wouldn’t provide him with the tranquil and reflective environment he needs to achieve these objectives," Okupe added.
