A former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has stated that he is not aspiring to be National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He also distanced himself from a media report linking him to have emerged as the PDP national chairman and the announcement of the suspension of party leaders.
“As of today, Ambassador Umar Damagum is the Chairman of the PDP, and I’m not aspiring to be Chairman of the party.
A faction of the PDP National Working Committee had suspended the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, and the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, for alleged disloyalty to the party.
The court ordered that no person other than Damagum must be recognized as PDP national chairman until the national convention of the party is scheduled for December of next year...
