The Chairman of the Labour Party Caretaker Committee, Senator Nenadi Usman, has announced the decision of the party to appeal against the court judgement recognising Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the party.
Earlier on Tuesday, SaharaReporters reported that Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise Abure as the substantive national chairman of the party.
She explained that the case preceded the formation of the Caretaker Committee, noting that after the committee was briefed, it decided to join the case.
