Following the burning down of the study centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), at Eze Oke Nsu in Ehime Mbano Council Area of Imo State, the police comand has announced that it has made arrests. “I am pleased to announce that over eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the arson incidents in Ehime Mbano.

Also set ablaze by the assailants is the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) study centre in Nsu in Ehime Mbano. Ibezim who is the immediate past senator for Imo North (Okigwe zone) hails from Nsu in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

The insinuation that there is intent to settle IDPs, refugees, or migrant persons at the NOUN Nsu Centre is entirely false."..
