Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has expressed his support for the relocation of Nigerian nurses and other healthcare workers travelling abroad to seek better opportunities.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State said that professionals, including nurses, seeking opportunities abroad should not be discouraged.
Obi, who said this on Monday in Onitsha, Anambra State, emphasised the importance of education and healthcare as essential resources for the future.
He therefore called on Nigerian leaders to focus on training more professionals, stressing that foreign remittances could significantly contribute to the nation's economy.
