Police hunt killers of Ogun councillorship candidate

The Ogun State Police Command says it is on the trail of suspected cultists who allegedly killed a councillorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Adeyinka Adeleke, on Saturday. The command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a telephone conversation with our correspondent on Saturday.

PUNCH Online reported earlier that Adeleke was the councillorship candidate for Abeokuta South Local Government Ward 15 in the forthcoming November 16 local government elections. Confirming the incident in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, Odutola disclosed that the assailants were suspected cultists.
