A fully loaded tanker carrying black oil had a brake failure on Sunday, leading to a devastating multi-vehicle collision.
“The victims, all passengers in one of the Volkswagen buses, succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” it said.
The statement said in response to the emergency, LASTMA officers arrived at the scene and took control of the situation.
He urged tanker drivers to strictly adhere to speed limits and place the highest priority on road safety, especially when operating vehicles carrying hazardous materials.
