The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has confirmed an accident involving a fully loaded tanker that experienced brake failure, resulting in the loss of three lives.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said the incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.
m. on Sunday at Second Rainbow, inward Mile 2 along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
“Emergency responders, including Lagos State Fire Services and Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), were also at the scene.
Tanker drivers must adhere to speed limits and prioritise safety, especially when carrying hazardous materials.
