Train crushes man to death in Lagos

Tragedy struck in the Oshodi area of Lagos on Saturday when a train crushed a 50-year-old man identified simply as Emmanuel to death. PUNCH Online learnt that the incident happened near Arena Shopping Mall in Oshodi.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement, confirmed that the Mosafejo Division of the command was notified of the incident around 1:33 pm. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency in a statement signed by its spokesman, Nosa Okunbor, said the victim was found dead at the scene with severe injuries sustained from the collision.
