True Fulani carry cutlasses, sticks, not AK-47s – Emir of Zazzau

The Emir of Zazzau, Nuhu Bamalli, has talked down the involvement of Fulani men in banditry, saying true Fulanis aren’t gun-wielding persons. He noted that it’s customary for an ideal Fulani man to rather go around with his cutlass and stick to fend for his cattle.

As a Fulani man, you are not expected to carry an AK47. But a Fulani man is expected to carry his stick and cutlass to cut grass for his animals.
